The Top 10 UTME Scholarship and the MTN Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students (MTN SSBS)
Since 2012, qualifying 200 and 300 level blind students enrolled in any degree at Nigerian public tertiary institutions (universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education) have been the focus of the MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS). The number of blind students who will be awarded scholarships has been raised from 60 to 100 as of 2024. If the necessary grade standards are reached, the yearly prize amount raised from N200,000 to N300,000 and will be given out till graduation.

Agricultural Science, Architecture, Communication Technology, Computer & Electronics, Computer And Information Science, Computer And Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics And Electronics Technology, Electronics Engineering, Engineering Physics, Industrial Physics, Information Technology, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics Electronics, Physics Engineering, Physics/Computational Modeling, Pure/Applied Physics, Statistics & Computer Science, and Industrial Mathematics are among the courses that qualify.

Qualifications


The candidates must be enrolled full-time as undergraduates at Nigerian public universities, colleges of education, or polytechnics at the 300 level in their third year.

Applications from polytechnics must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) and documentation of admission for the HND or Direct Entry Program; applicants from universities and colleges of education must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score of 3.5 or its equivalent (2:1).

 
Those who have already received another scholarship award are not eligible to apply.
In the event that it becomes out that the recipient of a scholarship gave incorrect information, the MTN Foundation has the right to revoke or suspend the grant.

Value of prize: If the necessary grade standards are completed, the yearly prize value has been enhanced from N200,000 to N300,000. The reward will be given out till graduation.

How to Apply: Applicants for scholarships must complete an online application form (click the link below), which asks for information about their home address, CGPA, department, course of study, and matriculation number, among other things.
